Recently, the source codes of Grand Theft Auto 5 were leaked and important information about GTA 6 was revealed. According to new information, although Rockstar Games planned eight expansion packs (DLC) for GTA 5 , it did not release any of them.
Canceled GTA 5 DLC packs
Source codes leaked by some hackers have revealed eight DLCs that will enhance the single-player experience in Los Santos. Expansion packs included “SP Assassination Pack”, “SP Manhunt Pack ”, “ Agent Trevor ”, “Relationship Pack” and “ LibertyV DLC ”.
It is currently unknown what the contents of the expansion packages will be. However, it is possible to make some guesses from their names. For example, it looks like the “Agent Trevor” and “Manhunt Pack” packs will focus on stealth-action stories with Trevor.
Even more interesting is the “LibertyV DLC” package. GTA 4, which takes place on a map called Liberty City, could come back to GTA 5 with this package. Characters such as Niko Bellic could appear in the new game.
However, it should be reminded that Rockstar canceled eight expansion packs. Although the reason is unclear, it seems that GTA Online did not want to devote time to single-player expansions due to its popularity and profitable nature.
The company, which shifted its focus to multiplayer and new generation versions after 2017, stated that it was shifting resources away from DLC because of Red Dead Redemption 2 . Let’s see what kind of road map will be followed for GTA 6 over time.
